Should the H-1B Visa program be stopped? Elon Musk supports Indians

Elon Musk, the world's number one richest man, is participating in Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath's podcast 'People by WTF'.

In that podcast, Elon Musk talked about Indians and the H-1B visa.

"The United States has benefited greatly from talented Indians. The current H-1B visa tightening process is due to the fraud committed in it. The previous government granted H-1B visas very easily, without any tightening. That is also a reason."

I don't know how true it is to say that Americans are losing jobs to other countries coming to the United States.

From what I've seen firsthand, there's always a shortage of skilled people here. It's very difficult to find skilled people here who can do difficult jobs. So, it would be good if there were more skilled people here.

Should the H-1B visa program be stopped?

My company is always careful to hire talented people. However, some companies are committing H-1B visa fraud.

"But I don't think we should completely abandon the H-1B program for that. We should fix that fraud," he said.
